Why School Law for Parents?

School Law for Parents is pleased to be a place for parents to discuss and consider issues happening in their children's school. While teachers often take School Law classes in order to gain certification, parents, unfortunately, do not receive the same education. Therefore, when a parent sends a child to school, many questions and issues are unaddressed or misunderstood. School Law for Parents is a site to help communication between the parent and the school - so that all children receive the legal protections, entitlements, and guarantees offered to public school students.
